The Wildfire texts are based on the latest data from Cal Fire, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as well as InciWeb (United States Forest Service) and NIFC, National Interagency Fire Center.
The texts use the latest available data from these sources to describe the fire, the position and size, as well as include details from the public information officers at the fire regarding the current status, evacuation warnings, planned actions and the outlook for the coming days, when available. When available links to evacuation maps and live camera feeds will be included. The texts are automatically updated with new information as it becomes available.
